LegalPrivacy Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
Moar Rewards Ltd (trading as "moar") ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use the moar mobile application and website (getmoar.co.uk). We are registered in England & Wales and operate in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of personal data:
- Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create a moar account.
- Waitlist information: your email address if you sign up for early access.
- Transaction data: when you tap an offer in the moar app, we record the click and the associated merchant. Our affiliate network partners may share transaction confirmation data so we can credit your cashback.
- Open Banking data: when you connect your bank account via a regulated Open Banking provider, we collect read-only transaction information, including merchant details, transaction dates, categories, and amounts. We do not access your banking login credentials and cannot initiate payments. This data is required to detect eligible purchases, credit cashback, and identify refunds.
- Wallet and withdrawal data: your cashback balance, withdrawal history, and bank account details for payouts.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and anonymised usage analytics to help us improve the service.
- Cookies and tracking: we use cookies and similar technologies on our website for analytics, essential site functionality, and affiliate tracking (see Section 6).
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your moar account.
- To process cashback rewards and wallet withdrawals.
- To track affiliate clicks and match confirmed purchases with your account via our affiliate network partners.
- To detect eligible purchases using Open Banking transaction data and automatically credit cashback to your wallet.
- To communicate with you about your account, cashback status, and service updates.
- To improve and personalise your experience with the moar app and website.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.
We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with trusted partners where it is necessary to provide the moar service (e.g. affiliate networks for cashback tracking, payment providers for withdrawals, and Open Banking providers for transaction detection).
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide the moar service you signed up for (account management, cashback tracking, withdrawals).
- Legitimate interests: improving our service, analytics, and fraud prevention, where our interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we are required to retain or share data by law.
Where you connect a bank account, we process Open Banking transaction data as part of providing the core moar service, and based on your explicit consent provided during the Open Banking connection flow.
4. Data Sharing
We may share your data with the following categories of third parties, only as needed to operate the moar service:
- Affiliate network partners — to track clicks, confirm purchases, and calculate cashback.
- Open Banking providers — to securely access read-only transaction data for cashback detection.
- Payment providers — to process cashback withdrawals to your bank account.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. AWS) — to securely store and process your data.
- Analytics providers — anonymised usage data to help us improve the app.
We require all third-party partners to handle your data in compliance with UK data protection law and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
5. Open Banking
When you connect your bank account, moar uses a regulated Open Banking provider to access your transaction data securely. This access is read-only and allows us to detect purchases, credit cashback, and identify refunds.
We do not collect or store your online banking credentials. Authentication is handled directly by your bank using secure consent screens.
Because connecting a bank account is required to use core features of the moar service, we rely on this data to detect eligible purchases and provide automatic cashback.
You can revoke Open Banking access at any time through your bank or within the moar app. If access is revoked, some or all features of the service may no longer function, including automatic cashback tracking.
Open Banking data is used solely to:
- Detect eligible purchases
- Credit cashback rewards
- Identify refunds
- Improve offer relevance
- Prevent fraud
All Open Banking connections use Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and industry-standard encryption.
6. Cookies and Affiliate Tracking
Our website and app use cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for the website to function (e.g. session management).
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. page views, traffic sources).
- Affiliate tracking cookies: when you tap an offer in the moar app and visit a retailer's website, a cookie is placed by our affiliate network partner to track your purchase. This is how we know to credit your cashback. These cookies are essential to the cashback service.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Please note that disabling affiliate tracking cookies will prevent us from tracking your purchases and crediting cashback.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your moar account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Specifically:
- Account and transaction data: retained for the life of your account plus 6 years (in line with UK financial record-keeping requirements).
- Waitlist email addresses: retained until launch or until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: anonymised and retained indefinitely.
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Section 8).
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the details below. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. While no system is completely secure, we are committed to protecting your data to the highest practical standard.
Where Open Banking is used, all connections are secured using Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and industry-standard encryption.
10. Children's Privacy
moar is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or through the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
