How we use cookies
Last updated: 1 May 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones moar uses, and why. We keep it simple: we only use cookies where they serve a clear purpose, and we tell you exactly what that purpose is.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website or app places on your device when you visit or use it. Cookies are widely used to make websites work properly, remember your preferences, and help businesses understand how their services are being used.
Cookies can be first-party (set directly by moar) or third-party (set by our partners, such as affiliate networks). They can also be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain on your device for a set period).
Cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies, grouped into the following categories:
Affiliate tracking in more detail
Cashback tracking is the core of how moar operates, and affiliate cookies make it possible. Here is how it works step by step:
- You tap a cashback offer in the moar app.
- You are redirected to the retailer's official website via our affiliate network partner.
- As part of this redirect, our affiliate network partner places a cookie on your device. This cookie contains a unique reference that links your visit to moar.
- When you complete a purchase on the retailer's site, the retailer reports the transaction to our affiliate network partner.
- Our affiliate network partner matches the transaction to your moar account using the cookie reference, and we credit your cashback.
moar does not receive or store your payment details, card information, or bank credentials as part of this process. The affiliate cookie contains only a session reference used to attribute your purchase.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our website or that operate as part of the moar service. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review:
| Third party | Purpose | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate network partner | Affiliate purchase tracking and cashback attribution | Details will be updated when our affiliate network partnership is confirmed |
| Analytics provider | Anonymous website usage statistics | Details will be updated when analytics are added to the site |
Managing your cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Visit aboutcookies.org for instructions specific to your browser.
- Within the moar app — you can manage your cookie and tracking preferences in the app's settings once you have an account.
Please note: blocking affiliate tracking cookies will prevent moar from attributing your purchases and crediting cashback to your account. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website and app function.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly as we add new features or partners to the moar service. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically.
